Community Resources

Harvest is your community owned market, owned by over 3,500 of your neighbors. Harvest is involved in the community in many ways.

  • Members elect other local members to the Board of Directors annually.
  • We source and buy many local products from small, locally owned businesses.
  • We donate to local non-profits and school events.
  • We are members of Cambridge Local First, where we have a seat on the Board of Directors.
  • We are members of Jamaica Plain Local First.
  • We have a seat on the Central Square Business Association.
  • We sponsor many local events, including Wake Up The Earth, Boston Vegetarian Food Festival, and the Boston Local Food Festival.
  • We donate to and attend many community environmental and health fairs.
  • We have an annual holiday donation program for Food For Free and The Greater Boston Food Bank.
  • We host food donations for Food For Free in Cambridge and the ABCD Food Pantry in Jamaica Plain.
  • We host local farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) and CSF (Community Supported Fishers) drop offs at our stores.
  • We offer store tours catered to your group’s needs.
  • We offer free postings at the Community Boards at our stores.
  • We recycle and compost much of our trash.
  • We offer the food YOU want as members and shoppers.

Thanks for your support!
